Jamie, You can tell your members about
another success story now. Last Wednesday I asked Denise to marry me
and she agreed. We don't have a date yet but we put a contract on house
to be built in Ellicott City. It was the Maryland's
Upscale Singles event at Belmont two years ago that put Denise and I
together. You done good!

Meet the Executive Director
As a divorced woman in her forties, Jamie found it was a lot harder to meet singles than it had been in her twenties. She became frustrated at the lack of events for singles, as the “bar scene” was simply not an option. "I attended events where I thought I could meet singles with similar interests and lifestyle; unfortunately, 'couples' usually attend upscale events." As an event planner by profession, Jamie began to entertain the idea of starting a social club for singles over 30 that would be fun and had all the elements she was looking for. In February 2003, Jamie became aware of Atlanta's Upscale Singles, and when she saw the kinds of events they held and the quality of their members, she knew it was exactly what Maryland needed! "Ever since I began Maryland's Upscale Singles, I have run across countless men and women who are at a loss as to where and how to meet other single professionals. They are as excited about Maryland's Upscale Singles as I am!" The official opening took place in June 2003. Events are held all over Maryland to include Baltimore, Annapolis, Columbia, Bethesda, and other areas.
